WorkflowGen SAP Integration
WorkflowGen SAP Adapter allows you to quickly and easily integrate SAP transaction calls (import and export) into your processes and .Net Webforms.
The WorkflowGen Workflow software with .Net Web Forms and the SAP Adapter offer you a lightweight and powerful Workflow front-end for SAP.
The WorkflowGen SAP Adapter comes in two different modules:
- A .Net Web Service to be used from WorkflowGen processes (import/export of SAP data via SAP transactions calls)
- A .Net assembly to be used within Web Forms (to bind listbox, gridviews, etc. with any SAP data via SAP transaction calls)
WorkflowGen SAP Adapter simplifies SAP integration without adding a new midleware because it relies on standard SAP APIs.
Because WorkflowGen processes are fast to integrate and deploy you can offer powerful workflows to a maximum of users without worrying about SAP per user license model.
How does it work?
WorkflowGen SAP Adapter simplifies the execution of SAP transactions from a .Net Web Form or WorkflowGen Process. By this way you can instantly integrate SAP transaction calls in your WorkflowGen processes and Web Forms. Because WorkflowGen SAP Adapter relies on standard SAP APIs you can use the Adapter with a large number of SAP modules and versions.
Example of use:
SAP user role management
You can use the WorkflowGen SAP Adapter to retrieve a SAP user current profiles and display it in a Web Form which can be modified by an authorized user.
Then the changes can be validated by a supervisor and if approved impacted in SAP by using the WorkflowGen SAP automatic action provided with the SAP Adapter.
Other examples:
- Display/Update product order information
- Display/Update customer information
- Display/Update employee information

Technical Requirements
SAP
The WorkflowGen SAP Adapter supports two different protocols to connect to SAP:
- RFC protocol mode, compatible with any versions of SAP
- SOAP protocol mode, compatible with SAP Application Server version 620 and higher
The only dependencies are the LIBRFC32.DLL, MSVCP71.dll, MSVCP71.dll and MSVCR71.dll libraries.
The LIBRFC32.DLL is an API provided by SAP and available from the SAPGUI (version 4.5 or higher) installation CD.
